What's Muungano?
In April 26, 1964, the African islands of Zanzibar united with mainland Tanganyika to form The United Republic of Tanzania. This unification is known as Muungano.
Event Details:
This year's Muungano Unity Day celebration will be to raise $40,000 for a project to increase access to water in Tanzania. Please bring extra cash for our raffles, auction, and vendor shopping.
Event includes workshops, Tanzanian food, live African music, poetry, auction, raffle, and much more.
The MUUNGANO EVENT will have several festivities including the following:
Delicious Tanzanian food
Auction of Tanzania(African) items
Unity Workshops (if you missed the workshops such as “sex and sexuality from an African point of view” this would be a another opportunity to catch up)
Live band presenting good music from EBONIC BLUES ORCHESTRA
African dance known as NGOMA: you really have to see Tanzanians (Africans) and their skills in dancing, you will appreciate it.

All the above and much more for just $20 (the money contributed from this event will be used for water projects that are sponsored by “The Friends of Tanzania” Association in Tanzania. The tickets can be purchased online at www.TheFriendsofTanzania.org
