In collaboration with World AIDS Day, the Sankofa Center for African Dance and Culture invites you to A Night to Fight.  The Center personnel will be hosting an important gathering to raise funds and awareness towards the fight against HIV/AIDS in Ghana, West Africa.

Come out and enjoy an evening of entertainment and leave feeling inspired, informed and fulfilled in knowing you've actively contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.

The night will include:

  • Wine tasting - wines from vineyards in California and Oregon
  • Great dishes prepared by the reputable Wild Note Cafe
  • Live music from the jazz duo, The Hager Rivera Project
  • Photo exhibit and silent auction (including many items from Ghana)
  • Meet and hear from the directors of the Sankofa Center

The Sankofa Center uses the dance and music of Africa's past to foster health and understanding of HIV/AIDS in the current generation in hopes of preventing the destruction of the future.  All proceeds will go to the Sankofa Center to finance the continuation of their free HIV/AIDS programs, services, testing and treatment in Africa as well as the upcoming construction costs for their community-based health center.

Cost : $30 donation individual; $50 per couple
