Women and HIV/AIDS in Kenya: Exploring the differential impact of the pandemic on women and the role of women in care and prevention focused interventions

Presentation by Chandice Covington, UCLA School of Nursing, as part of the HIV/AIDS in Africa lecture series sponsored by the Globalization Research Center-Africa.

Professor Chandice Covington, PhD, RN CPNP, Professor & Chair, Primary Care, UCLA School of Nursing, will deliver a presentation focusing on women and HIV/AIDS in Kenya.  The lecture is part of a series sponsored by the Globalization Research Center-Africa (GRCA).

Purpose of the HIV/AIDS in Africa lecture series: As part of GRCA's ongoing HIV/AIDS Initiative, which focuses on research that contributes to the ongoing investigation of solutions to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, there will be a series of lectures during the Winter 2004 quarter, which focus on the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS in Africa at the level of service delivery.
