CANNES, May 13, 2004 – The American Film Market (AFM) today announced that more than 200 companies have already committed to exhibit at the AFM being held November 3 – 10 at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
“We’ve had a tremendous response from AFM exhibitors. Our new alliance with AFI Fest will make the upcoming AFM bigger and better than ever,” said Jonathan Wolf, Executive Vice President of AFMA and Managing Director of AFM.

AFM and AFI Fest
AFI FEST (November 4 – 14) and AFM have joined forces in marketing, sponsorship, scheduling and a variety of other initiatives. While each event will continue to be managed separately, the collaboration will result in a unified market and festival combining commerce and culture.
Now in its 18th year, AFI FEST is the longest-running film festival in Los Angeles and one of the most influential film festivals in North America. A program of the American Film Institute, AFI FEST is a ten-day film festival that screens feature, documentary and short films from every continent for audiences consisting of entertainment professionals, filmmakers, civic and corporate leaders and a large, diverse population of film enthusiasts.
