The L.A. Radical Women Organization presents "A Feminist Call to Action: Defend the Women of Sudan" as part of an International Women's Day Celebration.
Learn answers to the questions CNN and Fox News haven't told you. Why are women and children targeted for mass rapes, abduction and slavery? How are Sudanese feminists organizing to defend themselves and how can U.S. feminists help? Activist and student of the Sudanese crisis, Katherine Cheairs, will address these topics. Wendy McPherson, Radical Women Organizer and internationalist, will chair the event.
Open discussion after the talk. An African buffet, with vegetarian option, served at 7:00 PM for a $7.50 donation. Door donation of $3.
