Born in Zaire and raised in Belgium, visionary Marie Daulne, Zap Mama, has successfully integrated a cappella melodies and Afro beat rhythms into the fabric of modern soul and dance music to become one of the most popular and exhilarating world music ensembles on the planet. Recently enlisting the talents of the Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, Taleb Kweli and other hip-hop and R&B luminaries, Zap Mama continues to expand the boundaries of world music, album by album.
Detroit’s electronic soul-funk artist and former George Clinton sideman, Amp Fiddler will open.
