Black History Tour of Los Angeles

Our Authors Study Club is hosting their annual Black History Tour of LA. Learn firsthand about this fascinating history.

February is Black History Month.  How about kicking it off with a tour?  If you have not heard, Our Authors Study Club is hosting their annual Black History Tour of Los Angeles, on Saturday, February 4, 2006.  The tour will leave from the Consolidated Realty Board, 3725 Don Felipe Drive, LA.  As in past years, the tour is free.  The buses will depart at 8:00 AM and return around 2:30 PM.  The tour is on a first come, first served basis, so if you can make the tour, you should try to arrive around 7:30 AM to get a good seat on the bus.  Free parking is available.

It will be well worth your time to attend and it is a tour for everyone -- the historical tree of Jesse Owens, Wellington Court and who has it now, the Black Fire Houses and their history, and much much much more.
