Jim Gamble's Tales of the Ashanti

Grand Performances at the California Plaza presents two performances of this unique show inspired by the Ashanti of West Africa.

THIS SUMMER, COME CELEBRATE GRAND PERFORMANCES -- 2OTH ANNIVERSARY SEASON

Internationally-recognized marionette artist Jim Gamble has designed and crafted imaginative and intricate puppets for stage, film and television. Folk tales are dramatized by puppeteer-actors and life-sized puppets. The designs are inspired by the distinctive art of the legendary Ashanti of West Africa, and the stories are humorous and authentic in their timeless message.
