Gerald Wilson, Kenny Burrell, and Friends Talk Jazz

The Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies and the Kenny Burrell Archive of African American Music present The Gerald Wilson Living Legends Music and Lecture Series featuring Gerald Wilson and hosted by Kenny Burrell and Bubba Jackson, KJZZ-FM.

This unique series has been created to honor Maestro Gerald Wilson for his many years of outstanding contributions in the fields of music and music education.  The series will feature Gerald Wilson with very special guests who are experts in the fields of jazz and popular music.  Each presentation will be enhanced with a live or recorded music component.  The NEA Jazz Master and multiple Award-winning composer, arranger and band leader Wilson will bring his usual wit and wisdom to the interaction with the special guests and the audiences. 

There will be a reception after the lecture.
