Second Annual 47th "Well Body - Well Mind" Community Health Fair

California Assembly Speaker Karen Bass hosts a health fair featuring info booths, demonstrations, voter registration, and free screenings as well as presentations and cultural performances.

Event includes various health promotions, informational booths with resources on health related services and programs; healthy living demonstrations; free health screenings and more!
 
Assemblymember Karen Bass represents the 47th District, which includes UCLA and Westwood, as well as Baldwin Hills, Culver City, Leimert Park, Hyde Park, Cheviot Hills, Ladera Heights and Mid-City areas.

In May 2008, Karen Bass made history when the Los Angeles Democrat became the 67th Speaker of the California State Assembly, catapulting a Democratic woman to the post for the first time in the state’s history. Along with the California political first, Speaker Bass makes national history as the first African American woman in the country to serve in this powerful state legislative role.
