African Studies Center

On-Site Registration is available on Saturday, November 1 for Teach Africa Workshop

Day-long teacher-training workshop; space still available. The event is open and onsite registration begins at 8:15 AM. So, do not worry if you did not register yet; please come and join us. All participants will be entered into a drawing for two trips to South Africa courtesy of South African Airways. You must be present to win.

Teach Africa is a special day long teacher-training program that will provide educators with tools they need to integrate Africa in their classrooms. The program will feature content rich seminars by experts in African topics, curriculum training as well as tips on using multimedia resources, to bring Africa alive in the classroom. 

Program is co-sponsored by The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa and Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership, US Agency for International Development and the UCLA's James S. Coleman African Studies Center.

Workshop is free and on-site registration available.
