Most Malians are confident that the distinctiveness of their ancient arts and culture will never change, yet like many places, Mali is impacted by modernization, tourism, and the advance of Islam.  The film exposes the pleasures and tensions of cultural life today.  It was cut to the beat of contemporary Malian music, and key events were shot on location over 18 months by a Malian crew.

Parking is available in lot 4 for $7.
