Hotel Rwanda Film Screening
Hotel Rwanda is based on the true story of Paul Rusesabagina, a Kigali hotel manager who sheltered over a thousand refugees during the 1994 genocide. Please join us along with special guests Paul Rusesabagina and Terry George, the film's director. Film screening to be followed by a Q & A with Mr. Rusesabagina and Mr. George.

Ten years ago, as the country of Rwanda descended into madness, one man made a promise to protect the family he loved – and ended up finding the courage to save over 1200 people. HOTEL RWANDA tells the inspiring story of real-life hero Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle), a hotel manager in Rwanda who used his courage and cunning to shelter over a thousand refugees from certain death.
While the rest of the world closed its eyes, Paul opened his heart and proved that one good man can make a difference.
Paul Rusesabagina served as a special consultant on the film. The film is directed by Terry George with a screenplay by Keir Pearson & Terry George. The producers are A. Kitman Ho and Terry George. Executive producers are Hal Sadoff, Martin Katz, Duncan Reid and Sam Bhembe. The film stars Don Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo (Dirty Pretty Things), Joaquin Phoenix and Nick Nolte.
Cost: Free and open to the public; parking is available in the Writer's Guild Theatre (WGA) structure at 135 Doheny Dr. for $3 (after 5 PM).
