Heritage Music Foundation and UCLA Ethnomusicology Archive present a Gospel Music Celebration



Come Celebrate Gospel Music in Los Angeles! The Heritage Music Foundation (HMF) and the UCLA Ethnomusicology Archive will celebrate their yearlong community partnership with a free gospel concert featuring college and young adult groups.

Known as the Gospel Archiving in Los Angeles (GALA) project, the partnership pairs the Archive's resources with HMF's reputation in the gospel-music community to document and celebrate the city's rich gospel history.

This free event will take place at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church (located at 601 E 99th St., in the city of Inglewood). The event begins at 7:30 PM, is open to the public, and will showcase college and young adult
gospel groups. Performers include:

UCSB Gospel Choir -- Directed  by Victor Bell
Back-on-Track -- Filipino American Gospel quartet
Biola University Gospel -- Directed by Marvina Levy
Envision Vocals -- UCLA group directed by Tim Ngubeni and Jonli Tunstall

And please join the celebration each Monday in March at Greater New Bethel for a host of other events:
·       March 21: 21st- Founder's Birthday Celebration-Traditional Night
·       March 28: 28th- Grand Finale-Contemporary night
