ASC provides fellowships funded under the Title VI Grant by the US Department of Education, Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) program which offers support for the academic year or summer to students undergoing advanced training in modern foreign languages and related area studies.

• UCLA African Studies Center Summer Abroad Fellowships
  Two $5,000 fellowships to be awarded for research in Africa.
• Request for Proposals: Course Development Award for UCLA Africanists
  UCLA Faculty and Instructional Staff are invited to submit proposals to develop a new course, Preparing to Study Abroad in Africa.
