Rationale: Use the effect of culture to enhance the core curriculum by using

elements of music, language, literature, history and geography.

Lesson Objectives:

Students will:

  1. Develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the meaning of music in African cultures by studying its elements and structures.
  2. Develop vocabulary associated with the the idea of Praise Singing
  3. Become generally knowledgeable about the physiographic,climatic and political geography of Africa.
  4. Develop Praise Songs/Poems and art element.
