U.S. allies in the Middle East need reassurance

The Untied States needs to reassure its closest allies in the Middle East — Israel and Saudi Arabia — if it is to successfully negotiate an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program, argues Steven Speigel in an Op-Ed piece published by the New York Times on November 24, 2013.

Speigel is professor of political science and director of the Center for Middle East Development at UCLA.
