An international research group will be established comprising scholars in economics, education, and public health from Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America. The group will convene several times at UCLA to discuss work in progress and to facilitate collaboration on the project. The research group’s work will be presented at the International Nutrition Conference to be held in Durban, South Africa, in 2005 and will then be prepared for publication by UNESCO.
