Short-term Research Award (STRA) Program

The Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan) is now accepting applications for the year 2012. Deadline: June 30, 2011

The newly established STRA program will allow International Ph.D. candidates with ABD status (All But Dissertation) or postdoctoral fellows to undertake short term (2 to 6 months) research in Taiwan, to promote academic research of Taiwanese culture and society and mutual appreciation between Taiwan and the international community.
 

Candidates who intend to apply for the program for the period of January to December 2012 can do so now by submitting applications before June 30, 2011, directly to universities in Taiwan or Ministry of Education (MOE) affiliated research institutes, such as the Center for Chinese Studies and the National Academy for the Educational Research Preparatory Office. The results of the competition will be announced, by the Ministry of Education, before September 30.
