Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world but it is not an Islamic state. It is the forth most populated country in the world with a population of more than 230 millions. It comes after the United States. Indonesia is an archipelago, consisting of more than 17,000 islands but only 6000 islands are inhabited. The big islands include Jawa (Java), Sumatra, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi, and Papua. Java is the most populated island. Bali, an island in Indonesia, is one of the world tourist destinations. It is famous for wonderful beaches and beautiful traditional music and dance. Aceh, a northern province of Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra, was hardest hit by the tsunami disaster of 26 December 2006.
