The Kuwait Ministry of Information sponsored a trip for UCLA students to learn about Kuwaiti history and politics September 9-17, 2011.
The Kuwait Ministry of Information, in conjunction with the UCLA Center for Middle East Development, offered a unique opportunity this week for UCLA students interested in learning about the Arab World. The program brought nine UCLA students who plan to work in the field of politics to key sites in Kuwait, including the U.S. Embassy, several research centers, a Dewaniya, and the University of Kuwait. The students also had the opportunity to meet important players in industry, including one of the CEOs of the Kuwait Oil Company.
