Producer Peggy Chiao Filmography
Peggy Chiao is a film producer, writer and professor. She is considered one of the important figures in shaping New Taiwan Cinema in the 1980s and 1990s and a major force in Chinese-language cinema. She produced over 20 features, 5 documentaries and 3 television series.

1996 marks the year when Chiao founded Arc Light Films and began producing films which won international accolade. Her filmography includes two Silver Bear Award winners BEIJING BICYCLE (Grand Jury) and BETELNUT BEAUTY (Best Director) in the Berlin Film Festival, and many renowned international film festival invitees as THE HOLE, BLUE GATE CROSSING, DRIFTERS, HHH: A PORTRAIT OF HOU HSIAO-HSIEN, EMPIRE OF SILVER, HEAR ME, THE STOLEN YEARS and LOVE SPEAKS.

Peggy Chiao is the founder of China Express Film Awards which became Taipei International Film Festival. Apart from many creative and administrative works, Chiao served as the chair of the Graduate School of Filmmaking in Taipei National University of the Arts and the chair of the prominent Golden Horse Film Festival. She works often as a juror for topline international film festivals including Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam, San Sebastian, Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Singapore, Toronto, Yamagata, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Tushkent and Khanty-Mansiysk.

Chiao was honored with Life Achievement Award in India and Taiwan, Contribution Award in China, and Hearst Fellow Award in Austin, USA. She just received the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Taipei Film Festival.
