The seminar will feature presentations by Asia specialists and will approach the subject using literature, film, philosophical tracts, surveys, observations, legal records and more. We'll work to cover change over time and to appreciate the variety of family forms and practices in Asia.

Credit: Participants who complete all seminar requirements (attendance and participation in all sessions of the seminar and completion of a curriculum development project) are eligible to receive credit which can be used toward a degree or advancement on a salary ladder. Los Angeles Unified School District teachers may choose salary advancement credit (4 points) or UCLA Extension credit (4 quarter units). Non-LAUSD teachers can receive UCLA Extension credit (4 quarter units).
