This program is open to faculty members and students at all universities in Latin America and Mexico, and is supported by a grant from the Academy of Korean Studies in Seongnam, Korea.
Research Grants:
1. Faculty: $2,500
2. Undergraduate/Graduate Student: $1,250
Eligibility:
1. Faculty:
• Master’s degree or higher
• Must be affiliated with a university: teaching or researching position
• Experience in Korea related studies
2. Undergraduate/Graduate Students:
• Must be currently registered as a student
• Experience in Korea related studies
Participants who wish to apply must submit:
• Application form
• One-page research proposal (Procedures and Methodology)
• Curriculum vitae
• One letter of recommendation from a professor (student only)
• A table budget plan
Deadline: March 18, 2008
Applicants interested in the program must submit the requested documents to our office by email or fax no later than March 20, 2008. Late applications will not be accepted. The Korean Studies in the Americas executive committee will select 8 students and 4 faculty members. Those selected will be notified on March by 31, 2008, and the grant will be awarded in April. All researches must be 100% conducted in Latin American countries and completed by July 31, 2008.
