A public lecture by David Newman, Ben Gurion University
David Newman is Professor of Political Geography at Ben Gurion University, where he founded and was the first chairperson of the Department of Politics and Government. Newman is co-editor (along with Professor John Agnew from UCLA) of the international journal, Geopolitics, and is currently the Visiting Leverhulme Professor of Geopolitics at the University of Bristol in the UK. Newman has published widely on issues relating to territorial conflict and borders in general, and the territorial dimensions of the Israel-Arab conflict in particular.
