Professor Gruzinski is a distinguished and prolific historian, whose publications include The Conquest of Mexico: The Incorporation of Indian Societies into the Western World, 16th-18th Centuries (New York: Polity Press, 1993); Images at War: Mexico from Columbus to Blade Runner (1492-2019) (Durham: Duke University Press, 2001) and The Mestizo Mind: The Intellectual Dynamics of Colonization and Globalization (New York: Routledge, 2002).
