Lan Dizhi (蓝棣之) is Professor of Chinese Literature at Qinghua University. His research has focused on the links between contemporary Chinese literature and both classical Chinese literature and foreign literature. Among his publications are Orthodoxy and Heterodoxy 正统的与异端的 (1986), Sensibility and Formality in Modern Poetry 现代诗的情感与形式 (1995, 2002, 2004), The Classics of Modern Literature: A Sympotmatic Analysis 现代文学经典：症候式分析 (1998, 2002, 2006), and Theories of Modern Poetics: Origins and Tendencies 现代诗歌理论：渊源与走势(2002).
