Isa Blumi is Assistant Professor of History at Georgia State University. His research interests include migration, ethnicity, nationalism and state formation. A former fellow in the SSRC IDRF, Fulbright-Hayes, ACLS and CAORC programs, he has published widely in journals such as IJMES, EEPS, Current History, and JAS. He is author of Rethinking the Late Ottoman Empire: A Comparative Social and Political History of Albania and Yemen, 1878-1918 (Istanbul: ISIS, 2003).
