Cesar Zapata is Professor of creativity and psychology and humanities researcher at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo. His books include Asombros de sombras: Falsos rostros; Un nuevo dia ayer (short stories); and Piedad de Toque (poetry) which won the 2004 National Casa de Teatro poetry prize. He is the author of many essays on Dominican culture and literature.

Cesar Zapata is our poet-in-residence until end of November so we hope you will welcome him and seek him out the week he is here.
