Screening of Brazilian Film 'Cidade dos Homens' (2007), Directed by Paulo Morelli.
Two friends who grew up in a favela in Rio de Janeiro turn 18 and face the first difficulties of adulthood. Acerola (Douglas Silva) has a two year old son to raise. Used to his freedom, he feels tied down by marriage and laments his precious fatherhood. For Laranjinha (Darlan Cunha) the problem is not being a father, but having one. With his mind set of finding his father, he begins rummaging through the past. While the duo tries to solve their problems, a gang war shakes the dangerous world of trafficking around them. The head drug lord in their community Madrugadão (Jonathan Haagensen), Laranjinhas cousin, looses his supremacy to his ex-right hand man, Nefasto (Eduardo BR). In the confusion, the two friends are going to have to run for their lives and in the process discover a truth so terrible it threatens to break up their friendship.
