Dr. Solomon Orero Discusses "Abortion and Post-Abortion Care in Sub-Saharan Africa: Challenges and Opportunities"

Dr. Orero, an obstetrician/gynecologist, is a founder of Kisumu Medical Education Trust (KMET), Kenya, which expands reproductive health services access. KMET received Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger award in 2004. Dr. Orero also chairs Kenya’s Prevention of Maternal Mortality chapter and is a board member of Nairobi Women’s Hospital. This month he will receive the prestigious Eleanor D. Roosevelt award from the Feminist Majority Foundation in honor of his dedication to achieving sexual and reproductive health rights.
Cost: Free and open to the public; pay-by-space and all-day ($8) parking available.
