The Darfur Action Committee at UCLA, as part of Mighty Mic, presents music and speakers focusing attention on genocide and to raise funds to purchase the US Doctors for Africa Mobile Clinic. Adam Sterling, John Prendergast, and Rabbi Harold Schulweis are scheduled to speak at the event.
Adam Sterling is a graduate of UCLA, Afro-American Studies and Political Science; he was a member of the Darfur Action Committee at UCLA while a student and today is the policy director for the Sudan Divestment Taskforce.

These events are part of Genocide Awareness Week. Genocide Awareness Week is a vibrant and dynamic part of the Mighty Mic Human Rights Awareness Concert. It will recall the history, events, and people of five different genocides: Native American, Armenian, Holocaust, Cambodian, and the Great Lakes Region of Africa (Rwanda and Darfur).
Cost: Free and open to the public; parking is available in lot 6; all-day parking is $8.
