Gael Garcia and Diego Luna play two brothers scraping by as laborers in rural Mexico, until one day a scout spies their friendly game of soccer and signs them on as star athletes of rival teams. They quickly learn the high life of top-players-- fame, money and beautiful women-- has a dark side. When their professional rivalry turns bitter and personal, the brothers see that they mus reunite before they lose everything they once dreamed of.
Directed by Carlos Cuaron (co-writer of Y Tu Mama Tambien), Rudo y Cursi is the first project produced by Alfonso Cuaran, Guillermo del Toro, and Alejandro Gonzalez Inaritu.
