A roundtable discussion on Brazilian Writer Alvaro Cardoso Gomes' latest novel Concerto Amazonico(Amazonian Concert)
Álvaro Cardoso Gomes is Professor Emeritus of Portuguese Literature at the University of São Paulo (USP), Visiting Professor at Middlebury College, and Professor of Luso-Brazilian literatures at São Marcos University in São Paulo, Brazil. He is the author of fourteen novels or short story collections, and author or editor of over twenty scholarly books on Portuguese and Brazilian literatures. His latest novel, entitled Concerto Amazônico (Ateliê Editorial: São Paulo, 2008), will be discussed in a roundtable with Milton M. Azevedo, Professor of Spanish and Portuguese, UC Berkeley and Karen C. Sherwood Sotelino, Translator and Visiting Scholar, Stanford University.
