International Conference, October 1-3, UCLA and Villa Aurora
The Wende Museum, in collaboration with the UCLA Library and German Historical Institute, presents a three-day international conference that questions the ways that German histories have been understood through material culture since the period of upheaval and ‘Wende’ in 1989 and 1990. It brings together more than 30 scholars, journalists, and observers from throughout Europe and the U.S. to discuss divergent and cutting-edge perspectives on life in the two Germanys.
