2010 K-12 Summer Workshop: Visualizing Cultures-Modern China and Japan
August 10 to August 12 at UCLA
This special new opportunity, funded by a grant from the UC Humanities Research Institute, is offered in partnership with the History Project at UCI, MIT, UCLA's Asia Institute, and the Pacific Asia Museum. The institute will include content lectures and discussions. Participants will also learn to use the resources of the "Visualizing Cultures" website and the Pacific Asia Museum to develop rich lessons on Modern China and Japan. A $225 stipend is available. Preference given to 10thgrade world history teachers.
