Professor Leszek Balcerowicz is Chair of International Comparative Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, doctor honoris causa of the Poznan University of Economics, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland, former Governor of the National Bank of Poland, and author of economic reforms that ensured Poland's transition to a free market economy.
