Based on a novel by Edmundo Desnoes. Directed by Miguel Coyula
An intellectual leaves the Cuban revolution and “underdevelopment” behind only to find himself at odds with the ambiguities of his new life in the “developed” world. A character study of a loner with no clear-cut politics or ideology, struggling with age, desire, and the impossibility of belonging in any society.
A Q&A and discussion about Cuban Film with the director will follow.
