Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Japan's largest funding agency is now introducing various fellowship programs for research in Japan to UCLA's graduate students, postdocs and faculty. JSPS's door is open to any academic field in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and engineering. This session will include:

-A talk by Barbara S. Gaerlan, Ph.D., Assistant Director, UCLA Center for Southern Asian Studies (JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow, 1999)
-A presentation by Owen Sizemore (a participant of JSPS summer program = PI of EAPSI, 2010) and Q & A
