
Presentation by Leilani Chan and Ova Saopeng of TeAda Productions
Leilani Chan and Ova Saopeng of TeAda Productions are creators of Refugee Nation, a theatrical piece based on their community residencies with Laotian communities all over the U.S. For this presentation, Chan and Saopeng share their continuing work on the aftermath of U.S.'s Silent War on Laos. They have followed up on the Refugee Nation theater piece with research on the bombies that continue the nightmare of the War in the lives of the people of Laos.
Following their presentation, the artists will conduct a workshop on theater as a mode of research presentation.
