
A poetry reading and film screening by Belizean artist Clyde Gillett
Belizean artist Clyde Gillet captures both his country's beauty juxtaposed with the hard lives of its people in his writing, photography, and filmmaking. At this event he will read from his poetry and screen his short documentary Within the Shadows of Belize: A Green Day Arises (2011), which explores this formoer British colony's attempts to find its freedom by optimizing its green economy.
