To commemorate the 620th birthday of King Sejong the Great who created and promulgated the Korean Alphabet, we are holding a conference entitled "King Sejong's Invention of Hangeul: In the Perspective of US Scholars."

The conference will examine the unique characteristics of Hangeul writing system and discuss the achievements and challenges of Korean Studies overseas.The National Hangeul Museum of Korea and Korean Cultural Center, LA (KCCLA) will be co-hosting this conference.
