Report on Palestinian Movement and Access

The University of California Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC) Professor and Research Director Eli Berman is working with partners in Israel, Palestine, and Jordan to design an implementation plan to ease current movement and access (M&A) constraints on goods entering and leaving the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

These new procedures can create jobs for Palestinians without compromising the security of Israelis if they are designed and implemented with the agreement of all sides.  So far, the efforts on the part of the Movement and Access Project leaders have produced significant results in a short time period, resulting in active negotiations between parties and the implementation of several reforms. They recently completed a preliminary report which has demonstrated the feasibility of these ideas for M&A in the West Bank, and they are working to create a more complete report that includes the Gaza Strip.
