Ismail Khalidi has quickly established himself as a leading Arab-American playwright. His plays include Tennis in Nablus (Alliance Theater, 2010); Truth Serum Blues (Pangea World Theater, 2005); Returning to Haifa (Finborough Theatre, 2018); and Dead Are My People (Noor Theater, 2018). The Actors Theater of Louisville recently commissioned Khalidi and fellow playwright Naomi Wallace to adapt Sinan Antoon’s novel The Corpse Washer, which will premiere at the Humana Festival of New American Plays this March.
