A lecture by Dr. Le Bach Duong, Institute for Social Development Studies, Vietnam
Le Bach Duong is the director of the Institute for Social Development
Studies, an indepedent research institution in Vietnam. He received
his PhD in sociology at the State University of New York at Binghamton, New
York, in 1998. His research focuses on migration, human trafficking,
and public health, especially HIV/AIDS, in Vietnam. His research often
links his research with advocacy activities and capacity building for Vietnamese
institutions. He has also served as independent consultant for international
organizations in Vietnam, such as the World Bank and the International Labour
Organization.
Held in conjunction with the day-long symposium on Globalization and Human Trafficking, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in 200 Glorya Kaufman Hall.
Cost: Free and open to the public.
