Artists will report on their journey, show photos and videos, and share the outcome of their international artistic experience.
This past February, 16 performing artists (eight American and eight Asians (India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand & Cambodia) participated in the Asia Pacific Performance Exchange, a residency fellowship program in Bali, Indonesia. For three weeks, they lived together, studying each other's traditions, collaborating and creating new works.
Join us as Judy Mitoma, Professor (World Arts & Cultures) & Director of the UCLA Center for Intercultural Performance moderates a discussion with seven of those artists (Daniel Corral, Sheetal Gandhi, Leslie Gray, Chelsea Green, D'Lo, Suzanne Teng, Lesa Terry). Artists will report on their journey, show photos and videos, and share the outcome of their international artistic experience.
