Human-Animal Studies in the Asian Setting
(Book series to be published by editor of Society and Animals: Journal of Human-Animal Studies)

Information:
Kenneth J. Shapiro, Editor of Society and Animals: Journal of Human-Animal Studies, seeks prospective coeditors and contributors for a book series on Human-Animal Studies in the Asian setting. Topics include problems local to and issues involved in the development of HAS in Asia, with the purpose of promoting an academic field that would provide support for policy changes in the interests of helping nonhuman animals in the region.

The series will be as broad in scope as Society and Animals, which currently publishes papers from disciplines in the social sciences and the humanities. Geographical and cultural scopes should be confined to particular countries or regions of Asia.

Submission Guidelines / Information:
The publisher seeks 3-4 articles each from Japan, India, and Taiwan/China, and submissions should be from presentations or unpublished studies. Abstract submissions in a second language are encouraged.
