Information:
This special issue of Continuum builds on an international symposium on Chinese media, sponsored by the CSAA, and scheduled for October 1st at Asialink, University of Melbourne. This is an additional open call for submissions which address the interconnections between media industries, media use, and cultural change in contemporary China. The issue aims to bring together high quality contributions from across the many academic fields that see Asia and media as crucial to an understanding of the contemporary everyday. 

We would especially welcome new research on China and the WTO, advertising, political socialisation, mediated mobility, and the role of new content industries in the reconfiguration of Chinese lives.  We also welcome research reports from postgraduate students (max length 1500 words) 

Submission Guidelines / Information:
Expressions of interest should be sent to the editors by Sept 15th 2002 and completed papers (word length 6000 max) in Continuum house-style sent on Mac readable disk by October 30th.
