Information:
The 2003 Annual Conference of the Luce Foundation Korean
Christianity Program, the Center for Korean Studies, UCLA,
will be held on April 25-26, 2003 at UCLA Faculty Center.
Its topic is "The Encounter of Korean Religions and
Christianity."
Most
speakers are confirmed. Nevertheless, as the conference
is expanded for two days, five to seven more participants
are needed. If you are interested in this conference, please
send Sung-Deuk Oak (via email at sungoak@hotmail.com)
a one page proposal by December 30, 2002.
Acceptances
will be sent out by January 10, 2003. The Center for Korean
Studies will provide all presenters with airplane fare,
at least a two-night stay at the campus guest house, and
honoranium. Please refer to the following provisional plan,
and choose your panel to join. The final result of the conference
will be the publication of a book edited by Dr. Robert Buswell.
Hence please prepare a publishable paper and submit it by
April 10, if you are chosen as a presenter.
