Gabriel Sheffer is a Professor of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is currently a Visiting Professor at Duke University. His research interests are ethnic politics, ethno-national diasporas, diaspora politics, Israeli politics, and the Arab-Israeli conflict.  His recent publications include Les Diasporas 2000 Ans D'histoire (2005), co-editor; Diaspora Politics: At Home Abroad (2003); Middle Eastern Minorities and Diasporas (2002), co-editor; and Israel: The Dynamics of Change and Continuity (1999), co-author.
